1.What's the classic inspired you? by Woods in the Books

Each month at MAAD, the Woods folks will bring you selected classic comics or picture books titles which inspired them.

This month is about the adventure of Tintin since 1929 whom many of us growing up with!

Besides the classic from the West, they didn't forget the classic comics which is closer to this sunny island!

When was the first time you encounter the funniest Kampung Boy?

Come and collect the missing titles in your collection at this MAAD.

2. Hands on letter press session by Mein (the new member of MAAD)

The peeps from Mein will offer letterpress for hands on printing on a selection of grey card postcards and vintage notebooks.

Mein:a design studio that celebrates the beauty of hand-made and hand-crafted processes.

Through creating narratives of whimsical landscape, urbanscape and dreamscape,

Mein celebrates banal everyday objects, material and texture.

Mein hopes to bring fresh perspectives to things that is often taken for granted.

3. Boxy Bat paper toy workshop by Roomism

OIC presents new series of silkscreens for 2009/2010.

Exciting News! Also to celebrate Knotty Bicsie's 3rd birthday, I've come up with a new member to our Knotty Bicsie Collections - Knotty Soccer Kid! Meeting the public for the 1st time @Knotty Tea Party - "Handmade-A-Fair"! Ready for orders! :) He is very active & good at all sorts of sports! U can customize him to be a soccer kid, tennis kid, basketball kid, golf kid, hip hop dancer...etc... Just send me a picture & he can transform himself into your perfect sporty friend! :) Come meet him "in person" @MAAD next weekend (7th & 8th Nov)! ;)

Knotty Bicsie received a few interesting orders for customization this month. This one I had the most fun with - customized Wedding Dolls! :) This pair of wedding dolls is made according to the couple's wedding photos. Challenging, but lotsa fun. They're so cute, I almost could not bear to part with them! :P
